How to Root Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100 on XWLS8 Jellybean 4.1.2 Firmware
The Samsung Galaxy S2 was one of the most innovative phones of it’s time. Rooting the Samsung Galaxy S2 will offer boundless options into customizing and tweaking the phone to a most personal preference. Also rooting allows for the usage of custom ROMS which can go a long way in helping a developer. For those who are beginners at the rooting process of smartphones you should follow this tutorial with great care and attention.
However let it be made clear that we are not responsible for any damage that may occur to your phone as the risk of rooting of your android phone is yours alone. There are a number of precautions that you will need to undertake before assuring a successful rooting process on your Samsung Galaxy S2.
This rooting process is only applicable for the Samsung Galaxy S2. Also make certain that you have backed up all your data before continuing the rooting process. You can use recovery softwares such as the CWM ClockworkMod to backup your data.
You will also have to make sure that USB debugging is enabled on your phone. To do this, go to settings > applications > developer options > USB Debugging, and make sure the box is checked.
You will also need to make sure that your phone is factory unlocked and that you have at least 85% battery power remaining before starting the rooting process. We suggest however that you fully charge your phone as to not take any chances.

After you have completed all of these taks, you can now proceed to starting the actual rooting process for your Samsung Galaxy S2.
First and foremost you will need to put your Samsung Galaxy S2 in recovery mode, you can do this by first turning off your phone, then pressing the Volume down, Home, and Power button all at once. A green android robot will appear on your phone confirming that your Samsung Galaxy S2 is now in recovery mode.
After this you must run Odin on your computer and then connect your Samsung Galaxy S2 via USB cable to your computer. Once your Samsung Galaxy S2 is properly connected one of the tabs in the Odin ID:COM will start flashing yellow and a signal “added” will appear. Once the flashing process is complete you will need to hit the PDA option and select ‘Siyah-s2-v6.0b4.tar’, the file you previously downloaded. Also make sure that the F.Reset Time and Auto Reboot options have been enabled. Now click Start on Odin and the rooting process will begin. Once the rooting process is complete, the phone will reboot and you can now unplug it from your computer. Your Samsung Galaxy S2 should now successfully be rooted with the XWLS8 Jellybean 4.1.2 Firmware!
