Nokia is well known for its refined formula of building and marketing its products, as it is clearly seen in the case of C-series. So knowing this, let’s take a look at the C6, and see whether it really lives up to the hype that the C-series has received.

Nokia C6 Price in India: Rs. 13500/- approx

Processing and RAM:

The C6 offers a 434 MHz ARM 11processor that is not supported by any GPU or chipset. Knowing that the processing core is the spinal cord of every smart phone, the C6 visibly has weak processor. Not just this, but the C6’s processor is supported by a very negligible amount of RAM. The C6 seems like it would fall victim to a lot of long waiting between functions. In the regard of the processor the C6 does not have much to offer, and when it comes to RAM the C6 literally has nothing to offer! A clear disappointment after how much this phone had been hyped up to be.

Dimensions and Display:

The Nokia C6’s dimensions measure in at 113 x 53 x 16.8 mm, and the phone weighs in at an overall 150 grams.

In regards to its screen the Nokia C6 has a TFT resistive touch screen which works with 16M colors. The resolution it is able to peak at is 360 x 640 pixels, and the screen measures up at 3.2 inches. Some of the key features of the phone are its QWERTY keyboard, the Auto-turnoff proximity sensor as well as the accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate. Once again there isn’t much of a story to be told about the Nokia C6; at best it is a mediocre phone that anyone would buy for a spare handset.

Storage Capacity:

The Nokia C6 comes with an internal memory allocation of a measly 240 MB, which is basically nothing. It is viable to upgrade through the usage of microSD card to 32 GB and the box comes with a 2 GB microSD card in it. The internal memory that it comes with is a huge turn off for many people. 240 MB does not even allow for the storage of a single HD formatted movie. This does not even meet the benchmark requirement of phones having been released even before the C6.

The Nokia C6 has a 5 mega pixel camera that works on a resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels. The camera is supported both by an autofocus, and an LED flash. Video recording on this phone is done at VGA quality @ 30 fps. The only feature the camera has is its geo-tagging. The Nokia C6 also has a QVGA secondary camera. The camera of the C6 isn’t much to go home about either. Offering minimal features in regard to snapping pictures, the Nokia C6 continues on its spree of mediocrity.

The Nokia C6 has a standard battery of, Li-Ion 1200 mAh. This battery allows for a standby time of 384 hrs. The talk time it allows for is up to 5 hrs and the music playback time is at 30 hrs. Overall the battery is in tune with the hardware allocated within the phone.

Final Thoughts:

At the price of 160 Euros the Nokia C6 is a phone that you would want if only u really needed a spare set, or were too low on cash to buy a much better phone than this one. The Nokia C6 doesn’t have much to offer in today’s market as cellular giants such as the iPhone 4, the Samsung Galaxy S 2 have taken everyone by storm!
